Surprise! I know you’re probably expecting some parkour announcement, but I’ve got something a little different up my sleeve this time. Let me introduce you to TreeCapitator.
From Datapack to Add-On
It all started as a simple Java datapack - you know, chop one log, down comes the whole tree. Pretty neat, right? But then Bedrock Add-Ons became a thing, and I thought, “Why not bring this tree-chopping goodness to even more players?”
Bringing TreeCapitator to Bedrock was quite the journey - it had its fair share of challenges, but man, was it rewarding! The Bedrock platform opened up some exciting possibilities.
What can it do?
Advanced Tree Detection: Your wooden house is safe! TreeCapitator is smart enough to know the difference between a tree and your lovely log cabin.
Nether Tree Support: Yes, those funky Nether growths count as trees too!
Flexible Activation: You choose when it works - while sneaking, or just standing there. Your game, your rules.
Durability Options: Want your axe to take one hit for the whole tree, or wear down based on how much you chop? The choice is yours!
Leaf Breaking: No more floating treetops! Configure TreeCapitator to take down leaves along with the logs.
Customizable Axe Settings: Maybe you want only golden axes to have tree-felling powers, or perhaps you’d like netherite axes to be the sole conquerors of Nether forests. You can set it all up, right down to which axe cuts which tree type.
I’ve just submitted a big update to the Minecraft Marketplace, and I’m pretty excited about it. Here’s what’s coming:
RealismCraft Support: Now TreeCapitator plays nice with RealismCraft by Spark Universe!
Fast Leaf Decay: Tired of floating leaves? Now they’ll disappear in a snap. It’s oddly satisfying to watch, trust me.
What’s next for me?
Honestly, I’m having a blast working on TreeCapitator. Don’t get me wrong, parkour maps are still my first love, but it’s fun to branch out (pun totally intended).
Got any ideas for TreeCapitator? Let me know! And parkour fans, don’t worry - I haven’t forgotten about you. 😉
